Specialized Therapy
for Relationships, Trauma, Life Transitions & ADHD in Indianapolis
You don’t need a therapist who does everything. You need the right therapist for what you’re going through.
You don’t need a therapist who does everything. You need the right therapist for what you’re going through.
High Thrive Counseling is a small team of therapists with actual specialties—not therapists trying to be everything to everyone.
Relationships + sex. Trauma + EMDR. ADHD. Anxiety + depression. Grief, family stress, and life transitions.
A small team. Actual specialties.
Less guesswork.

You can be really good at life and still feel
completely stuck in one part of it.
- Maybe you’ve done enough therapy, reading, journaling, podcast-listening, and self-awareness to explain your patterns beautifully—and yet the patterns are still there.
- Maybe you and your partner are having the same argument in twelve slightly different outfits.
- Maybe sex has gotten complicated.
- Maybe you know exactly what you need to do, and your ADHD brain has responded with, “Interesting suggestion.”
- Maybe something from the past keeps showing up in your body, your relationships, or the way you react.
- Or maybe life changed. Your marriage. Your career. Your kids. Your body. Your identity. Your plans.
And the version of you who usually handles things is having a harder time handling this.
That’s usually a pretty good reason to get some help.
Therapy should be more than an expensive place to hear yourself talk.
We like insight. Insight is lovely.
But eventually, insight should help you do something different.
Our therapists are active, curious, collaborative, and willing to tell you what we’re noticing. We want to understand the why underneath what’s happening—but we also want therapy to translate into your actual life.
Your marriage.
Your nervous system.
Your sex life.
Your parenting.
Your ability to start the task.
Your ability to say no.
Your ability to stop reliving something that happened ten years ago as if it happened Tuesday.
There should be a point to the work.
Warm, but not vague.
You should feel understood without spending six months wondering what your therapist thinks.
Specialized, but not stiff.
Training matters. Credentials matter. So does being able to talk to another human without feeling like you’ve wandered into a psychology textbook.
Collaborative, but not passive.
We’ll help you understand what’s happening, decide what you want to change, and choose the work most likely to get you there.
Therapy for the stuff that’s actually
affecting your life.
You are obviously more complicated than a list of symptoms. Still, when something really matters, it helps to work with a therapist who actually knows that particular kind of work.
Couples, Relationships, Sex & Intimacy
You can love each other deeply and still be completely exhausted by your relationship. We help with communication, recurring conflict, affair recovery, emotional disconnection, intimacy, desire differences, and sexual concerns.

Trauma & EMDR Therapy
Sometimes your mind understands that something is over while your nervous system remains unconvinced. Trauma-focused therapy and EMDR can help with anxiety, triggers, intrusive memories, shutdown, shame, and experiences that still feel far too present.
ADHD Therapy for Teens & Adults
ADHD is about a lot more than losing your keys. We help teens and adults with executive functioning, motivation, emotional regulation, school and work struggles, time management, and the maddening experience of knowing what to do and still not doing it.
Anxiety, Depression, Grief & Life Transitions
Sometimes there isn’t one giant thing. You’re anxious. Depleted. Grieving. Questioning your relationship, career, identity, or what comes next. Individual therapy can help you understand what needs your attention and decide what to do with it.
A small team. Actual specialties. Less guesswork.
We don’t expect one therapist to be fantastic at everything. Actually, we think that would be a little suspicious.
Our clinicians have different areas of expertise, different personalities, and different people they tend to work particularly well with.
That’s the advantage of a team.
JENNY STAATS, LMSW
Jenny works with teens, young adults, adults, and couples navigating ADHD, anxiety, depression, trauma, overwhelm, executive-functioning struggles, relationship stress, and major life transitions.
She especially enjoys working with premarital couples and couples who want to strengthen communication and understand the patterns that keep getting in the way.
Jenny also offers EMDR therapy and extended EMDR intensives for people who want focused time to work through trauma or a specific stuck point.
Her style is warm, practical, collaborative, and especially well suited to people who are tired of being told to simply be more organized, calm, disciplined, or productive.

Midlife transitions
JILL FRAME, LMFT, CST
Jill loves working with couples. The messy ones. The stuck ones. The couples trying to recover after an affair, having the same argument for the 847th time, wanting different things sexually, or wondering how they became roommates who occasionally discuss the dishwasher.
But couples are only part of her work.
Jill also works individually with adults dealing with grief, trauma, anxiety, depression, life transitions, relationship patterns, and sexual concerns—including those stretches of life when you are technically functioning but would not necessarily describe yourself as fine.
She is an AASECT Certified Sex Therapist and EMDR therapist and tends to work well with people who want warmth and empathy without a therapist who just nods thoughtfully for 55 minutes. Her style is curious, direct, collaborative & very willing to talk about the thing everyone else is carefully avoiding.
Jill loves working with couples—the stuck ones, the messy ones, and the ones trying to recover after betrayal, reconnect sexually, or stop having the same argument for the 847th time.
She also works individually with adults around trauma, grief, relationship patterns, sexual concerns, and life transitions. She’s an AASECT Certified Sex Therapist and EMDR therapist who tends to be warm, direct, curious, and pretty unlikely to just nod for 55 minutes.

Adults navigating relationship patterns
CHRISTIE JANSING, LCSW
Christie works with adults, parents, and families navigating trauma, anxiety, depression, family conflict, parenting concerns, and the complicated transitions that can make a perfectly functional life suddenly feel considerably less functional.
Her work includes trauma-focused therapy and EMDR for people who want to process what happened rather than spend the rest of their lives organizing themselves around it.
Christie also works with parents and families. She helps families slow things down, understand what is happening between people, and figure out what actually needs to change.
She is also a good fit for adults navigating midlife transitions: changing relationships, changing roles, kids growing up, careers shifting. Her style is warm, thoughtful, practical, and grounded in helping people make sense of what is happening so they can decide what comes next.
Christie works with adults and families navigating trauma, anxiety, depression, parenting concerns, family conflict, and midlife transitions.
She offers EMDR and tends to be a good fit for people who want thoughtful, warm therapy that helps them understand the patterns underneath what’s happening—not just manage the latest crisis.

Therapy intensives in Indianapolis—for when
55 minutes feels like a ridiculous place to stop.
Weekly therapy makes sense for a lot of people. Sometimes it doesn’t.
A therapy intensive gives you a longer, protected block of time to work deeply on a specific issue without spending twenty minutes getting started, twenty minutes doing the work, and ten minutes realizing you now have to leave.
High Thrive offers focused intensive options for work including EMDR, trauma, relationships, and betrayal recovery.
An intensive isn’t automatically better or faster. It’s simply a different container—and for certain problems, that container can make a whole lot of sense.
EMDR Intensives
Extended EMDR sessions for trauma, distressing experiences, stuck memories, and specific treatment goals—when more uninterrupted processing time may be useful
Couples & Relationship Intensives
For couples who need more room than a weekly session can give them—especially when the relationship is stuck, in crisis, or trying to find its footing after betrayal.
Not sure whether weekly therapy or an intensive makes more sense?

A few things people usually want to know before they start
Start with the thing you most want help with, then look for the clinician who works with that issue regularly.
Personality matters too. You can find someone who looks perfect on paper and still think, “Nope.” That is allowed.
If you are torn between therapists, we can help point you toward the best starting place.
Yes. We are located in Broad Ripple at 6229 Indianola Ave, Indianapolis, IN 46220. We also offer virtual appointments.
Yep! Virtual appointments are available.
You do not have to arrive with a perfectly organized explanation of what is wrong.
Some people come in knowing exactly what they want to work on. Others just know that something is not working anymore. Your therapist can help you make sense of what is happening and decide on a useful direction.
High Thrive Counseling offers individual therapy, couples therapy, teen therapy, child/family therapy, and intensives. The best place to start is the service or therapist page that most closely matches what you need.

An intensive is a longer, more concentrated block of therapy built around a particular goal.
